Ayush has significant experience in contentious commercial disputes, particularly those with a cross-border element. He has worked for over a decade on sensitive and high-stakes litigation for various clients in the automobile, banking, technology and retail industries — and has represented small and mid-size businesses as well as Fortune 100 companies before various judicial tribunals and administrative bodies. He works with businesses and governments in diverse geographies, focusing on the North American and CIS regions. 

Previously, Ayush has worked for several years at top-tier law offices in New Delhi, Chicago and D.C., with corresponding qualifications in those jurisdictions. He has also clerked at the Indian Supreme Court. 

Highlights

United States v. Dmitry Firtash et al. (US District Court, Northern District, Illinois Eastern Division): Acted for the defendants in proceedings relating to FCPA violations for allegedly illegal payments to certain foreign officials. 

Impax Labs., Inc. v. Federal Trade Commission (FTC Administrative Complaint): Acted for Impax Labs. in FTC proceedings relating to alleged violations of competition law by certain pharmaceutical companies in the context of marketing generic medicines for a fixed period of time. 

Cisco Systems Inc. v. Stmicroelectronics Inc. (US District Court, Northern District of California): Acted for Cisco Systems in proceedings relating to claims of negligence and misrepresentations in the context of unusually high failure rates of cable set-top boxes sold by Cisco to Indian cable companies.
